Hello. I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend . The other day I broke the cover off my FPV antenna on the quad . It wasn't a bad thing but it made me think , I better buy a spare antenna. I found this antenna on sale so I decided to buy 2 of them. One for the quad and one for the goggles. Should work, what do you think? https://www.helidirect.com/dal-antenna-rp-sma-male.html I would also like to know if anyone has use something like this before https://www.horizonhobby.com/first-pers ... -fpvan1004

Hi buddy! The first antenna that you listed should work real well. I'd just like to suggest using a bit of Super Glue or hot glue around the edge of the bulb to make sure that it doesn't come apart. I've had them come apart on me a few times and I have lost one. The antenna still works without the cap, it's just not as pretty. So, put some glue around the edge.
The second antenna is a 3 turn helical antenna. These can be used to get a bit more range, but only in a certain direction. If you were to fly behind this antenna, your range won't be as far. I have a 3 turn LHCP antenna that I bought from Video Aerial Systems. My signal is always super crisp, as long as I don't fly too far to the sides or behind the antenna.

Thanks Derek. Yeah i did put some glue on my cover. That's great that the antenna I ordered will work well. The helical antenna, I just wanted to know if it's works. I'll take your advice and use the new ones when they come in
