Antenna Curiosity

Post by Derek »

I think i know the answer but i wanted to ask.

If you have a RHCP antenna on your vtx, can you get any signal with a vrx that has a whip antenna or a LHCP antenna?

Thanks for that, Kev! That's pretty much what I thought, too. When each antenna is matched up with its own proper directional wave, the signal is great. When using a RHCP, signal will be heard with a LHCP antenna but not real good and probably not real well at all at distances. Whereas the whip would likely pick up the signal better.

I was just asking about this because I am limited on antennas but we have a second pair of goggles.
