ive got the tail gain setup with the IU switch in the TX and the Kbar is also setup for this, gain in IU drops by 5%, guess this is going to be trial and error but easy to change in the TX gyro settings

yes i like to use the first lipo to get the feel of it, then start playing...lol

thanks bud

Just had a brain fart Tony, your using that big ass heavy 600 size undercarriage on the bird so the disk loading is gonna be high, so you will suffer from bogging

Thanks guys, I've just been to field and got through 4 packs again, AND I brought her back in one piece...

I changed normal mode to 85% max! and it was definitely better! the IU at 95% flat! again much better..

I'm busy doing videos now which I'll post on my video log but put a link on here to get to it easier...

I don't like IU mainly because the cyclic is so sensitive, guess I'll have to get used to that, the HS doesn't bother me though...

Anyway you will see my vids soon to judge for yourselves...

Yeah you could be right Kev with the skids, but I do like them on, maybe I need a 600 motor... Haha

If it means getting more grunt in a new motor to keep skids I will get one...

Thanks guys

Tbh Tony you won't see to much benefit due to the weight of those skids, I don't think anyway, so I would keep your sheckles for now and fly at the 85%

Out of interest if you can weigh both sets of skids and see what the weight diff is,

I'll do that again Kev, I did weigh them when I got the skids, can't remember now what the weight was..lol

Well I won't be doing 3d for a while, if ever...lol, may get inverted one day though..

Thanks bro

If the cyclic is too sensitive in IU Tony, increase the expo. That should make it feel better.

One thing to think about that I forgot to mention. The HKII 2221-8 runs at a max continous 45 amps. With you I don't think you'll ever hit that. At least I don't think I have yet. I would have to look at my logs to fund out.

I'm glad you were able to get out and try the new settings. Glad to hear that you had some success with it. And glad to hear that you were able to bring it back home in one piece, lol. Whew...that's a lot of "glad", lol.

With a higher head speed, you will find the cyclic response to be quicker, or more twitchy. As Lee said, adding a bit more expo will soften that up. You probably won't need much more than what you have already. Just play around with it. Add 5% to the elevator and aileron...fly it...see what you think. If you feel that you need more..land it..add a bit more and fly again.

I hope you can get the video editing issues sorted. I'm looking forward to seeing your flight(s) from today.

That's really fantastic, Tony! I'm happy to hear about your good flying!

I have to work tonight and tomorrow but if you can get the videos edited and uploaded, I should still be able to watch the video on my phone while I'm at work. I look forward to seeing your results.

Glad you found it better mate. I used to run 500 site skids in my 450 they are quite a lot wider than stock and don't weigh too much more. I have tried 600 size skids ( i couldnt get 500 size after a crash) but found the made the heli quite slugish.

Well sluggish is ok for me at the moment Dan. Probably helps in a way to keep heli docile till I get some practice in. It's -2 outside today so I may not get through my 4 - 5 packs.. Hate this weather...lol. I'm going to see if the V curve helps that Clay suggested today if it warms up above freezing...

You need a radio bag Tony. Keep you fingers warm.

I would stick with what you have Tony.
When you need more power, spend the money on a new more powerful model.

That's a handy looking cover Lee, does it have a fan heater in it....lol..

Yes I think I will Lee, try and get curves right then just be happy with it and have some fun. Save up for a monster heli.... Lol. Don't think I'll be happy or confident enough to go inverted without an experienced pilot with me like, so that might have to wait till new year when I'm at yours mate...lol

Most people put hand warmers inside the bag, to keep it warm.
We can try to set up a buddy cable, then you can fly my Goblin :o
