Agile Rebuild

I've still had problems with my Agile so I decided to do a complete rebuild and also do some mods.
I have turned the pinion upside down and put a new flat on the motor shaft because the drive belt
was not running square and the belt was slipping down on the drive. I've now cured that problem.
There was a spacer between the drives which was causing binding on the main shaft. I have removed that
and now everything moves very smoothly. I have also removed one of the spacers at the bottom
of the main shaft to give more room for the bevel gear to be adjusted and I have also taken out the grub
screw in the spacer on the tail shaft and replaced with one of better quality so that the shaft can not
move from side to side. This has made lots of difference to the smoothness of the whole helicopter.
Lastly I have replaced the thrust bearings in the tail for no other reason than I had spares.
Lastly, lastly I have put some lead in the nose so that the balance is now spot on. This also has made
a difference to the heli being more stable so I am delighted with all the work.
Went out this afternoon to the mountain above the house and was hovering out in the valley when
a woman who had turned up unexpectedly explain that "the police helicopter was flying very low" she
had never seen a rc heli before. I had a good flight and now everything seems to purr. I was getting worried
that it was too quite until I did a hard pull into the vertical, Wow! those blades do make a wonderful sound.

Thanks lads appreciate your thoughts. It's now running like a Swiss watch but that does not mean things
will not go wonky again but one flight is the start of many....................I hope lol. I will get up to ten flights
and then I will start buying more batteries. It does fly superbly well, goes where you put it and moves through
the air at some speed so looking forward to getting the feel of the heli. Cheers

I get the urge to say don't get too complacent Treff, I know what it's like...lol, but I won't mention pre-flight checks, no.... Haha. I hope she carries on flying the way she is now mate
