That looked fine Tony:) makes you wonder what all the fuss was about:) LOL
Stambo gave me a great tip of fly FPV in small steps. I did two batteries lifting off and hoping round the field and if i got in trouble just land:)

Yes I'm going to try that tomorrow Graham, there's some good advice on here now that quite a few of us fly quads, I'm going to try auto tune tomorrow and see how that goes. Then some short fpv flights, if weather permits

I tried autotune and didn't like the results.
I have now set up in flight tuning, I remember someone else on here has done the same.
One 3 pos switch selects P, I, or D.
Another 3 pos switch sets up or down.
The beeper double beeps for up and single beeps for down.
It's not that hard to set up either.
I might do a video.

Can it be done easier via Bluetooth, I know there's an android app somewhere.... I've only got dx6i so that idea is out for me

It was me with the in flight pid tune setup. I found it great for initial setup. But now I go out with 3 different profiles, small differences in the values and try to fly a full pack with each setting to get a feel for it.

I went out to do some LOS flying today, very windy. I was going to try the auto tune but it was drifting all over... One problem I have is when i gain height the quad vibrates like mad.... Still controllable, but not good... I have the default settings still. I did do a few vids and one is going to shock you all I just know it.... Lol... Good day though, shame about the wind but the sun was out

Try knocking your p gain down a couple of points (pitch and roll axis) and see if that helps.
from what I've been reading about the auto tune feature it has to be done in absolute dead calm for the best results.

It looks like the P gain on roll is too high. Try lowering it test fly, don't forget to record the flight and watch the footage back to see how the oscillations. When lowering the gain do it a couple of points at a time, so if you are at 4.0 reduce it to 3.8 then fly if it's still oscillating reduce it to 3.6 and so on until there are minimal oscillations. I'm not 100% on tuning in a stabilised mode as I've only tuned in rate/acro. Hope this helps mate.

Look right at the start of the vid and it seems like it's vibrating before it gets up to take off speed, and once there is causing the gyro grief, it was rock solid on yesterday's vid Tony have you nicked a prop or is something coming loose,
