Well I got to attend my first event.. I am on cloud 9! It was AWESOME! I am lucky in the fact that there a lot of good pilots here in the Augusta area... A good many sponsored/team pilots that have helped me in RC.. But I don't get to the field with them often due to work, family, & just day to day life stuff. Usually fly alone.. Which doesn't help progression... Works the same way with skateboarding in that regaurd.. Other people teach and push u to do more and I feed on that. This year I have been unable to make any events.. Until this weekend.. SCORE! So three of use dove out about an hour & a half away to Statesbore(GA Southern University's home) for the AMA District 6 Fun Fly. I got to see tons of good pilots.. This event was mostly planes.. But a very good heli turnout as well. I met a bunch of good people & pilots.. It was like a little community.. Pulled up after dark Fri night to night flyers.. Several in the air... Couple in the tree(LEDs still burn'n) lol.. I thought it was fantastic before I even parked the truck. Set up camp.. Hung out by the fire & drank a few while meeting people.. Knocked planes outta the tree.. Froze my butt off.. Awsome.. Woke up to the sun lighting the airfield... Got itchy then as I knew it was ON! The little community grew to big one. Couple morning flights to get the edge off and loosen up.. People started bring out the birds... Playground full of kids play'n.. Smell of food cook'n.. By noon I had burned off 9 packs on the 550... My charger didn't stop all day long.. BBQ lunch.. Watched the demos (buddy I came with did his thing & crashed his Extra 300 & his Blade 550X... He was kill'n it tho!).. Jets, sport, vintage, WWII, electric, gas, nitro, single engine, multi engine, scale, what the hell is that?!?!?, racing, dogfighting(w flags/streamers).... It was all there.as soon as the demos were over... clay was back in the air.. I didn't stop fly'n all day. I was soo pumped up I didn't get many pics or videos(never really think about anyway).. What I did take did not turn out well.. I'm apparently not a good cameraman. I'm rambling.. Bottom line... Clay will be at the next local'ish event with family in tow. Great times.. Wish the wife & little man had come.. He would have LOVED it.

Hummm it's tell'n me the pic file sizes are too large on all but that one... I'll have to use the PC later to upload them then... Bad pics anyway.. Videos I took didn't catch the Helis in the frame much either.. May not even post those.. Oh well... It's all in me brain.. That's what matters... U guys will just have to trust me... IT WAS AWESOME!!!

Sounds awesome Clay. May be a little tough getting a lot of content going as we are coming into winter. People in warmer climates will have to step up some. Better work on your camera skills, lol.

I blended 2 of his flights for this video.. I do apologize for my poor filming... I couldn't see the screen so I kept the bird in eyeshot just over the top edge of my phone.. But I had it tilted too high to keep it in frame.. As I did with every video I shoot.. Kick'n myself for this crap! But this guy rip'd it!

I've lifted the image attachment resolution limits. There is a 5MB max file size limit for each attachment.

Clay, try uploading again.

Yeah I love the blue color schemes on the goblins. Local guy has a "blue eyes" goblin 500. Beautiful paint and color scheme.
