I suggest you don't be in too much of a hurry to fly FPV in the hall.
There is not enough room in there.
I know it's hard to wait but a successful flight in the open is much better than a disaster in the hall.
Same advice I gave the other guys is, first few batteries,
Short flights, stay close. 2 or 3 minutes then stop and relax.
Not too low, altitude is your friend, you can't crash into the sky.
Keep moving forward slowly, you can only see in front of you.
If you drift sideways or back you can't see what you are gonna hit.
If you have someone available to spot for you, take advantage of it.
Initially they can tell you if you are too high, too low, too fast or to far away.
Good luck mate, and most important, we want video... :)

Thanks Stambo, the hall will be a little hover and a little move around at best, it's quite a large hall and I will have a few FPV guys there to give me guideance,

To be honest all I want to get out of it is trying to get used to the feeling of having the goggles on and the movement sensation,

Weather looking pants here for the next 10 days or so, so I will just take small goes to get used to it till I get the chance to get out proper,

Wearing the goggles is weird mate and do take some getting used to so its good you have fpv guys around you... I had Lee and found it very strange, good job he was there for guidance though. :D

Hovering is the hardest thing to do fpv kev, its hard to tell how far and how high you are and also hard to tell when the quad is drifting.

Dont let me put you off, at worst you will only have to change a prop or 2. have fun mate and enjoy it once you get outside and you can stretch your legs its awesome.

If you want a safe and simple way to get used to the goggles, get a cheap RC car and tape the FPV gear to that. You can get the FPV feeling without risk to yourself and others or your equipment.
And it will be fun in the hall too.:)

If you are determined to FPV in the hall with your quad, take it forward slow, but don't try to hover.
Hover is one of the hardest things to do as Dan said.
Short flights, 2 or 3 minutes then stop, relax and go again.
Make sure as I said above you have someone close that can tell you if you are too high or too fast.
Too low in the hall will just send you sliding along the floor with hopefully no damage.
I suggest having a seat. I don't know how some people can do it standing. :)
Good luck whatever you do.
