Hey Ken! Sorry to hear about the poor installation from the sub contractor. if you are gonna be in town that week, I should be off that Monday and Tuesday, then I'll work Wednesday and Thursday, and then I should have that weekend off. Call me when you're around.

For sure, thanks for all the positive comments. I'm a little sad about my plane but I love flying with no fear and I was pretty loose the other day. These things happen when you push it but it was worth it. Wish we'd have gotten video with your 600 and my 500, we both kicked up our flying skills thursday night..

If I get to Georgia I'll let you know, lol.

Thanks for the comments Kyle. I miss by old field.

Yeah man...I was definitely bummed when we went to collect the downed plane. Both of us had some great heli demo's. I attempted to fly my 500 today and I nearly put it in the ground but I was able to save it and land safely. I need to sort the head out "again".

Anyway...yeah, if you are back up this way, let me know and I'll let you know when I have the day off and I'll be sure to have some batteries charged up. If you can make it back up here, my Dad volunteered to run a video camera for us.

here is some FPV from my quad. The first flight was me flying FPV. The second flight was me flying LOS while a curious spectator wore my goggles. The curious spectator turned out to be one of my Dad's friends. Very cool! In the video, you can see Ken in the yellow shirt. I believe that you can see my wife, Jordan, sitting on the right side of the screen and my daughter, Makayla, was sitting in her stroller. When the quad lands, watch my daughter...she was clapping with approval, lol.

I need to tilt the FPV cam up some more, too.

Unfortunately, these are the only flights that we got on video. Ken and I were talking and laughing a lot and we simply forgot the camera was on hand, lol. We had a great time...despite the devastation to his Visionaire's last flight.

Derek, glad we got at least the 2 videos, been thinking about going over to the hobby store but I'm being a little cautious cause I really shouldn't spend the money right now, LOL.

I'm trying to decide about the Carbon Z Yak 54 3X. I think I'd like some more power for slower flight manuveurs. 4S power on a plane this size and weight should be amazing. I also like the metal gear servos.

Yeah man...that Carbon Z Yak 54 would be an awesome plane! It is a bit pricey. Don't worry about the plane much. Just replace the Visionaire or get the Yak when the money is available. Unless you can find a money tree, lol. I still haven't found my money tree.

That Carbon Z Splendor would be a cool plane but it's also pretty pricey.

Ken and I had a blast!

Thanks for that, Stambo! I'm a "work in progress", lol. A lot of it is very similar to flying FPV on my plane. Although, there are differences, too. The take off's, landings, and hovering capabilities are very much different. The quad turns on a dime, too. It's just awesome fun!!!
