Thanks Derek, I love the little thing, better than my heli any day...lol

Not yet Paul, we going to do some flying tomorrow, so we'll see then, but we know who would win any race...lol.

It's our last full day here tomorrow, we leave Tuesday morning. I'm hoping we will all get out for a meal tomorrow night. It's certainly been great meeting Lee and doing some flying together, haven't met Celia yet, but hoping to tomorrow...

I've got loads of videos to edit when I get home, Lee has some too to edit, so watch this space for some action... Lol

We are gathering all the videos together and i'll make one Tarifa trip compilation.
Today didn't go too well for Tony's Heli. He "landed" in IU 1, or should I say drove it into the ground.
I think we've seen the last of helis for a while. Tony is hooked on quads now :D

My 450 and 500 heli's have not see the sky since I discovered MiniQuads and FPV.
I think I might just sell them.
I still throw around the V911s though.
Much cheaper to crash. :)

that's a shame about Tony's helicopter. He had been doing real well with it. However, he was always nervous about the helicopter being in the air and the head speed changing up and down. So, perhaps the mini quads will work better for Tony. They are smaller and less dangerous (not as much disk surface flying around). If Tony does move past the helicopters and takes on quads and FPV, I say "Go with it and enjoy yourself, Tony!" There is absolutely no sense in being a nervous wreck while flying helicopters when you can simply sit down in a chair and either have a nice relaxing LOS flight with the quad, nice relaxing fpv flight with the quad, or simply toss caution to the wind and go screaming across the countryside.

If you aren't having fun and enjoying the flight, something is wrong. Finding happiness and enjoyment with the mini quads may just be what Tony needs.

So, that all being said...I sure do look forward to seeing the video compilations guys! I'm sure you both had a great time, despite the damaged heli's.

Hey guys thanks for all the comments, I ran out of data earlier so couldn't post anything...

My heli is definitely wrecked now. I'm not spending any more money on it, all the electronics appear ok except for one servo. So I'm going to use those to build a plane of some sort.

Bad news on the quad too... That ditched into a river yesterday, I'm sure I lost the signal but who knows, pilot error again.. Anyway after 2 hours of Lee trawling the river in his wet suit he found it for me... Totally awesome... Lost my möbius though, that came off the quad... Lee paced the river with a branch using it like a metal detector sweeping the river bed... Can't thank him enough for his efforts, and they paid off. The quad needs 3 new ESC's and a motor, so not too bad... It was really windy too which didn't help my crappy piloting skills.. Lol

But yeah I prefer the quad to heli any day.. And I'll make a plane of sorts with the parts I have..

That's really a shame about the quad/river meeting. Major bummer that the Mobius got lost, too. I'm sorry to hear that, Tony!

Glad you got it back. Sucks that you had another encounter with water. Time to get the quad going again.

Yes I got it back, well Lee did, and he's rebuilding it for me... We leaving Tarifa now, sad really, been an awesome time, loved every minute of it. Lee is an awesome guy, he's been extremely patient trying to teach a dumb nut like myself... Lol, but I've loved meeting him and Celia. Saying farewell to tarifa, 3 day journey now to cognac in France to daughters.. Lee, thanks mate, you've been an awesome guy, and I'm so greatful for all you have done, you've never missed a day to come see us... Thanks mate..I'll keep you's updated on our journey back home..

I dont believe that Lee was teaching a "dumb nut...I believe that Lee has been teaching the 'lesser experienced"...that's all. I'm sure there was a point in time when even Lee was in the "lesser experienced" section of the hobby. We all start somewhere, Tony!

Have a safe trip to see your daughters and a safe trip back home!!!
