Apprentice:)

Next Friday at a local college there is a seminar for apprentices in local businesses.

I was the first person in our company to employ them. We now have them in all of the BSW Sawmills.

I have had 2 Apprentices of the Year, both winning the same cup i won in 1982:) One has just completed his Degree that i pushed to sponsor him.

I am not blowing my own trumpet, far from it. As an apprentice i valued the need to learn. i was taught the skills , shown how to use the tools, and was mentored by some great talent.

I have used this life experience to learn, develop , and encourage others. I have never feared developing someone that could do my job or be better than me.

I was once told by my old Foreman's son, when i became an Engineering Manager, and showed him my business card, " My Dad would be so proud of you" as he had seen one of his apprentices develop.

RC-help was like that for me:)
I learnt, i developed, and along my journey of learning i meant some brilliant people:)

My heart swells with pride, that i am part of this, and part of so many brilliant and talented people:)

Pat yourselves on the back and be proud at the birth of our new beginning:)

I just saw this thread. It makes me feel good that I may have had some contribution to your learning. Now we are all in the start of a new project, a new forum.

I was one of those Xbox lost souls, until I found RC.
Years of sitting in front of a monitor in a world of virtual death and destruction. Now I fly and I sit in front of a monitor in a world of virtual air space with a bit of destruction.

Just sold my Xbox last year.

I think you will find that I actually tried out for that part in COD, if you look very carefully you can see my zimmer frame in some
of the scenarios.
