Reports of missing/lost posts

We're starting to get some reports of posts going missing in threads. If you have experienced this (or come across it in the coming days) please report it. Useful information:

- In what forum and topic/thread was the missing post made? A link to it is useful so we don't have to go searching.
- When did you make the post? Again, a link to the post in the thread you saw before your made yours is useful here.
- Did you post via quick reply or the full editor?
- Was content of your post quoted in another? Did you at any point reload the thread (reload in browser, navigate to another page in the thread with the forum/topic navigation buttons, etc.)? Basically looking for some kind of proof that the post was at one point there and now it is not.

To my knowledge none of the staff have been deleting posts of other users except in cases where requested or doing some kind of controlled testing.

That's a bummer! I haven't noticed any of my posts coming up missing.

I had not noticed any posts going missing, there have been a couple of topics that are nearly the same some in staff only and some in site discussion.

You can all blame me.... I thought I'd put a post up on a thread about Graham's tshirts, but got confused as he has 2 threads about them... So blame him... Lol.... Mind you URI said he has had posts missing...

I think I just got confused tbh. Sometimes it's hard to keep track of where you are in the forum... Discussions being held on the same topic in different threads...

Seems like I may have had a couple but I also just figured it was the old man syndrome and I just didn't click submit or something. If it happens again I will get info, but I recall thinking I already posted a reply on a few things and nothing was there.

Some of this may have been due to the fact we had some threads that were similar for a while there. Also the moving of threads around threw some people. Hopefully things are settled now. Big issue at the moment is double posts. Sometimes the quick reply submit button is taking a while longer than people expect and hit it twice, causing multiple posts to show up. Working on that tonight.

Man the pesky double post stuff again. Man this sucks.

It's a different issue than what was happening on RCH a while back. This isn't a self inducing double post, it's happening because people aren't getting any feedback that the post is in progress and so they double hit the submit button. It shouldn't be hard to fix, but have to carve off time to do it.

For those that have had double posts happen, I need some feedback from you:

1) Did you click the submit button, wait and not see anything happen, then click it again?
2) Did you only click the submit button once and have it come up as two posts?
3) Some other scenario? If so, please describe it.

Thanks much.
