RC-Hangout

I have no troubles getting and using the forum on my laptop. Everything works just fine...thankfully!

However, on my wife's tablet, I can get to the sign in screen...I enter my name and password and hit enter and I get taken to a screen that shows that I am logged in but I cant to get to the forum.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Clear browser cache and cookie should do it Derek.

I've used my iPad from the start Derek and never had probs mate, had to clear cache out once when Paul changed something on the forum, but been ok since

hmmm, i don't know how to clear the browser and cookies on my wife's tablet, lol. Maybe I'll just not get on the forum with her tablet. My laptop works just fine, lol...it's a bit slow, but it works, lol.

On my iPad I went into my settings, then to safari (my browser) and in there it has a button to clear cache out. Your browser may be google or something

I just tried that. I'm just not familiar with how her tablet works. It's probably best that I just leave it alone, lol.

It's probably a cookie issue. Like said, clear cookies (just the rc hangout cookies if you can).

Other issue I've seen is on my phone and tablet the text editing box for replies behaves oddly. Need to fix it.

Derek will NOT break it, lol. Derek rarely uses her tablet, lol. I'll just stick with my out of date lappy, lol.

Have a try of this Derek,

All I do is open a new tab on the web and touch the button that has three dots stacked on each other in the top right corner. I then touch history and look at the bottom where it says "Clear Browsing Data". You touch that a pop-up will appear. It will say clear browsing data and below that it will say clear cache and browsing history and more. Select the ones you wish to clear and touch clear. That should be it and you no longer have any browsing history. When you are waiting for the pop-up to appear and you touch the screen on accident it will put you on the "Setting" page where you can still delete your browsing history. All you have to do is look in the top right corner for the clear browsing data button and touch that and the pop-up will appear once again! Hope this helps! ⊙ω⊙

On the main screen of your nook, click the settings button at the top right, next to the battery symbol. Then hit "All Settings". Then click "Applications", "Browser", and finally "Privacy and Security". There you should find options to clear your internet history and cache.

Another option, if you don't want to clear the entire cache, clear just the rc-hangout cookies:

This is chrome for a PC. It should be similar on a tablet... On my nexus it goes like this:

Tap the "three dots" icon to the right of the address bar. Tap "Settings" from the menu. Tap "Content settings" under the "Advanced" grouping. Tap "Website settings" at the bottom of the list. Now the tough part, find the rc-hangout entries in the list. It is roughly alphabetical, but I still had some trouble finding them on mine.

Ha ha ha, I don't know how I found it but I found where to clear the browser history on my wifes tablet and now I can access the forum on the tablet. NICE!!!
