What a night, a day and another night

Firday night I went to downtown Cleveland to the VA hospital for a sleep study. I got there around 9 pm and got started with the application of many leads and tubes. My technician introduced himself "Hi I am your tech for tonight. My name is Yuriy.", its pronouced Uri. My jaw about dropped, I didnt say anything because I didn't want to sound weird.

Okay so I get all the leads on and all the other stuff that was needed and climbed into bed. Here is where things got uncomfortable because I am not a back sleeper and I had to sleep on my back. I think that was the worse of the whole thing. The morning shift tech came in woke me up and got me all unplugged. I was thinking the whole time, when did I fall asleep. It felt like I never feel asleep. I hope to have the results soon and I have a feeling I am normal in sleeping. I just dont feel like I get enough sleep because I feel tired most of the time.

So I got home around 6:30 AM and I decided to go back to sleep and in the process I slept way longer than I had intended. I probably could have been asleep for a good 3 or 4 more hours no problem. SO I get back up and the wife was upset to say the least because it was my oldest son's birthday. With the birthday came some friends and family at the house. Towards the end of the night I decided to get the sim out for some fun with the old man. No sooner do I get the sim up and running I had 6 kids crying because I was not sharing my stuff.

During the start up of the sim RealFLight7, I get the typical update stuff flash on the screen so I pass up the upgrade till later, get everything setup and start with the stingray. One kid was like "wow, how dies it do that?", I replied because it has collective control. That same kid ask how fast a heli could go so I went to the Diablo. Got her all set to go and started making my poor speed runs and managed 155 based on the telemetry info box rf7 has. Then I went to the Goblin 770 and finally I passed on the radio. After about 20 minutes a fight broke out over the radio so I put the ca bosh on that real quick.

Later last night I got the sim up again and ran the update. After all was said and done I now have rf7.5. I thought this was supposed to be a pay for upgrade. Well I got it free so I don't care. Not to many more upgrades before I have to buy the next one.

Yeah the sleep study is quite an experience. Funny they send people who have trouble sleeping into a horrible environment to sleep. I couldn't believe all the stuff that was taped on my body and the micro phone on my nose and mouth was the worst. Mine turned out I was normal but told I shouldn't sleep on my back but to use a wedge shaped body pillow. They also said my GF should be given a medal for tolerating my snoring. LOL

Good luck with yours. Unfortunately if you do have apnia you have to get this breathing machine that is noisy and wear a face mask. I suppose getting quality sleep is the most important part but I don't think I could sleep well with something covering my nose and mouth.

Most people have an issue with the mask on there face. According the the tech who watched the entire night said I did not have any events that would cause any issues. I did have shallow breathing and some mild snoring along with some minor leg movement. I cant wait for the results just so I can see where I am at.

Yeah. I did the study several years back. Moderate apnea. Got the bipap machine, etc. I never had any issues with the machine. Mask can be annoying sometimes with air leaks and stuff. I side sleep and did so in the sleep study, they never said anything about it. It is a horrible sleeping environment. I always have to have the radio or something going when I go to sleep or else my mind takes off and I have a very difficult time sleeping. Not allowed in the study so I think I got all of 3 hours of sleep that night. And when they did the follow up to setup the machine's levels I slept even worse. Was fine at home with the machine, but at the study center, forget it.
