Mine is a cheap one with a permanent snare I was going to modify it but it is glued not screwed:)

You can get them with different sounds depending on where you hit it, like snare at top and bass further down the playing area, or bongo type sounds... Whatever you have it should be lots of fun to play with. Something to do when weather is crap... Lol
