Been looking on EBay for some rosin core solder as I went in Maplins last weekend and they wanted a fortune for it,

But why does everything have to come from China that's reasonable priced,

Anyone know for a good UK based supplier that does not cost the earth,

Is it 4 core resin solder you want for general electronic work?

Yeah mate 0.7-1mm rosin core I was after, just loath paying £20+ for a reel, just want 100g and willing to pay,

Not sure if what I have been using for God knows how long is acid or rosin, so nicked a meter of the stuff we got in work to do my Naze and PDB but want some stuff for future use, cos the stuff I had from work is nearly gone,

Almost everything comes from China. I normally got to radio shack but you can check fry's electronics. Fry's (I think) does retail and wholesale. So look around.

I've been using this 4 core stuff for all soldering for the past 20 years or so... Lol, even solder 100 pin QFP's with it...

do they have radioshack in the UK??? lol

I wasn't even thinking about location. Then fry's would be out also. They are state side.

I've sent Kev some solder guys, so no worries..

There's lots of electronic stores in UK to get stuff from, I get my stuff through the company
