Well I have been mucking along with the thumbscrew balancer for the 450 Heli blades to balance my props but I recon there is quite a bit of room for improvement with it, so I took the plunge and used my loyalty points that I had built up to go towards the Du-Bro tru spin balancer,

I will be going back over a couple of sets that I have balanced first set was done with the thumbscrew balancer and the HQ set that I balanced this week on my mates £5 HK magnetic balancer,

I will put up some results later on when I try it out,

Well guys I got to using the balancer tonight, and went through the two sets as I said I was going to,

The set I balanced with the thumb screw balancer, I had a 50/50 good not so good ratio, but they were not out by far, I removed the tape and re balanced,

The second set that were balanced on the £5 Hobbyking balancer, that was 75% good, only one to rebalance,

I have to say after on Wednesday when my mate was balancing his props found that his thumb screw for his HK balancer was out of balance, but in only certain positions, and as it would seem was not to much of a problem when a prop was attached,

Value for money I would say the magnetic balancer is pretty darn good,

The Du Bro balancer on the other hand will do a large size differential of props, it was much easier to balance the hubs on it, and it's not a fiddle to put the spindle on either,

What would I buy,

I would still go for the Du Bro

But

For the mini props the mag balancer, will do the job pretty well, http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/stor ... llers.html
