Lee made me aware of a news report the other night on the BBC about a drone flying through the new London Underground so as I was sitting next to the misses I said have a look at this, on my iPad

While watching she said, was that what you was fancying trying, quad and camera flying, to which I said yes,

So then she hit me with it, "why don't you get one for your birthday" well I could have fainted,

So I am going to get a 450 camera ship sorted, making use of my Mobius,

Choices at the moment

TBS discovery, with Naza v2 and GPS
Or
HJ Alien frame, sunny sky 2216 motors, esc's 30a ?????? And again Naza but Lite with GPS

Either will be finished with a Sony ccd camera and Boscam TS832 600mw VTX

I'm thinking to swap over my electronics to a TBS discovery.

Nice one! Lucky for sure. Should be nice either way you go. Those quads should be more than enough to handle a Möbius camera and any other bits you add.

No Lee, it will be the standard one no real need for the core stuff, and as yet not sure whether to get the lite version or v2

With the lite most are hacking to the v2 anyway,

Done a price comparison and the Alien comes to about a tenner cheaper than the disco

I think you will find the Alien arms are not the same quality as the DJI arms recommended for the discovery.
They seem to resonate vibrations a lot more, balance has to be perfect or you get jello and upset flight controllers.

Hey Kev, I was reading a review on the boscam by Oscar and it doesn't put out 600mw, far from it actually, so do check it out mate..

Thanks Tony but with the quad almost certainly going to end up on 4s therefore the boscam at 16v max I won't be using it,
