esc's not arming in cleanflight

Post by Tony »

ive set my quad up with cleanflight using the naze board i got off Dan but im having a problem as usual...

ive setup the RX and modes but cant get the esc's to work in the motors tab. im trying to calibrate them

with the lipo disconnected, ive clicked on the checkbox and pushed the master slider to top...(1900). then connected fully charged lipo but the esc's are not making any noise, yet when i move the slider back down to bottom they do....

not sure whats going on....have i missed out something maybe?

ohhh, ive put the stable version of 1.8 CF in it

My guess Tony is,

In base flight you should have 1500 set centre stick, 1000 low and 2000 high, if you have 1900 my guess is it's not seeing top stick to start the process

What's your low stick value?

Stambo had me lower my throttle trim on m tx and then my quad would arm. Someone here said that I should use the subtrim instead, so I tried the subtrim instead of the throttle trim, but that didn't work for me. I went back and reset the throttle subtrim back to where it was and then lowered the throttle trim switch again, like Stambo suggested and it worked. Maybe its the same thing with yours, Tony.

Derek that sounds like the low point value, is not quite low enough, drop it down a few points,

thanks guys, Derek, my problem isnt arming it, its calibrating all the escs at once.... done in the motors tab....but thanks for your input, im sure its not what my prob is.... ohhh yeah, thats the lack of my brain cells...haha

Kev, ive set the max to 2000 and its no different mate...

i increase master slider to max, all 4 motor sliders at 2000, plug in lipo and nothing from escs... i start dropping master slider and all escs make a noise around 1800 ish... then when i take slider to bottom the escs beep once every few seconds... if i now increase one of the motors i get to around 1300 and it will beep a few times....

weird stuff, could these escs operate differently? unfortunately i dont know what make they are as i got them off Dan.....
