I have found out of the box PID settings work great. Cameron flies and flips his on factory settings.

That's what I use at the moment, although I may try out Luxfloat soon.

Guys what values are you using for RC rate and expo as well as roll and pitch rates and tpa

As always appreciate your responses, as I have just jumped to Cleanflight

Standard settings:) RC rate anything above 1.10 for flipping:)

It will depend a lot on your pids.
They will change the flip rate dramatically.
You know how fast my flip rates are from my videos?
Well thats 0.60 roll and pitch.

Yeah I use 0.3 pitch and roll, and 0.90 RC rate with 0.65 expo, lastly 0.60 tpa,

What's your thoughts on those guys,

Guys what Looptime are you using for Cleanflight, oneshot enabled and damped light settings

On an f1 board (naze32, flip32, cc3d) with hardware acc off (stock) you can run a looptime of low as 1200 without jitter. With hardware acc on a looptime of 300 is achievable.

On a f3 board (sprf3, dodo ect) with hardware acc off a stable looptime of 800 (my setting, as advised by boris b) can be used, with hardware acc off looptime is 300 again.

When hardware acc is disabled in CLI it basically turns off the accelerometers, barometer and magnetometer, blackbox, gps, freeing up processing power for the control loop. THIS CAN ONLY BE USED FOR RATE MODE, YOU LOOSE ALL STABILISED FLIGHT MODES

You can tell if a looptime will work with the quad plugged into a computer, at the bottom of the cleanflight window there is a box named cycle time, this is your real time looptime.
So change the looptime in cli and save and exit to any other cleanflight screen now look at the cycle time it will jump about a bit 25-50 points is good anything where it jumps around in hundreds increase the looptime.

Hope this helps.
