It's no surprise that I am, once again, behind the times. I've got my quad pretty far assembled and wanted to configure and setup the Naze32. The software tells me "Please upgrade to firmware that supports api version 1.2 or higher." Where do I go to upgrade the firmware?

Open the program without connecting.
Select the board you have (Stable ) version.
Make sure full chip erase box is ticked.
Select flash firmware box.
It should then load to your pc with a flow bar showing program loading.
Once complete connect to board (Naze)
Then load firmware.
I am doing this from memory as I am on my phone and not my laptop Derek, so all the terminology may not be 100%.
But I am sure someone will keep you right. If not I will be on tonight when I finish work.

Well Graham, I've done all that you said above. I selected Naze 1.10 stable and it did say it was successful. The problem is the Cleanflight Configurator. Apparently the 0.63.0 that I'm using on my laptop is outdated. The newest Configurator is 0.65.0 but I am having troubles getting it to show up when I click on Cleanflight. 0.63.0 still shows up. I'm pretty sure that i've gotten the new config, new source code, and the drivers but it's not working.

I was trying to flash the Naze board with Cleanflight v1.10. Apparently that version requires Cleanflight Configurator 0.65.0. I was doing some reading and I read something about the Cleanflight Configurator 0.63.0 (which I have) runs a minimun of Cleanflight v1.8. So, what do I have to lose? I reflashed the Naze board with Cleanflight 1.8 and now the Configurator 0.63.0 (the one that I have) is working.

That's good enough for me, lol!!!

Does anyone here know anything about the Configurator 0.65.0? What version of the Config do you guys run?

So...now that Cleanflight is working for me now, I'm gonna proceed with setup, esc calibration, and motor direction.

Well now...this is quite frustrating! I can get the accelerometer calibration complete but thats it. I dunno guys....I've been strongly thinking about just taking the FPV gear off the quad and sticking with planes and helicopters. I've been thinking this for quite some time. I think I'll just put the quad on the shelf until next season. I've got other projects that would reward me with positive progress instead of repeated confusion.

I'm gonna watch a few more videos and read a few more threads. Maybe I'll come back to the quad later on.

What's the problem Derek. Is it stuck on the page saying loading after reboot?

It it is its not clean flight it's a bug in chrome

If you updating clean flight I would suggest beta flight. The a download in my krieger log it's the beta flight 2.1 which is the latest

You don't have to mess with loop time and in most cases it flys awesome out of the box, the only downside is there are only 2 pid controllers pid1 rewrite or pid2 luxfloat.

I only ever used the one "rewrite" controller anyway, lol. So whether it's rewrite or luxfloat, I should be in good shape.

I have wasted enough time on this tonight. Gonna get a bite to eat and then head to bed. I have to work the next 3 nights.

I'm curious....why does Cleanflight "auto-update" on my PC but not on my laptop?

I was just checking something on Cleanflight, about 15 minutes ago. I shut it down and continued on with my project. I wanted to check another "something" and ,when Cleanflight opened up, it's got a very nicely organized new main page with green, black, and gray. In the upper left corner, it shows that it was updated "2016-01-04 02:02:18". That would be about 8 minutes ago, from the time that I'm typing this.

On my laptop, when Cleanflight opens up, the main page is still the same page that it was when I had my first quad, last April.

Any ideas?

I know that Dan suggested that I try out Betaflight, and maybe I should. I dunno....I'm just wanting to experiment with the Naze board on my little Delta Wing but I can't get Cleanflight to work on my laptop because it's outdated.

Mine does not update auto either Derek?

I tried to flash one of my quads with Betaflight Airmode, mainly because it looks awesome and the weather is crap. I had no success, but it would appear as it was my "old faithful" quad, my firmware on my Afro ESC,s is not up to date and needs to be flashed with the latest version of BLHeli as well.
