Naze 32 Rev 6:)

Anyone using these yet?

I am fitting one today to my Nighthawk with Lemon RX. Channel mapping is all wrong? Just wondering if anyone has used one?

PPM with Lemon RX:) it seems pretty good and well laid out. I stripped my Nighthawk completely, and fitted all new mini esc,s compared to the huge 20A Afros. Made the quad 393gms!!

The best thing about the Naze is you can turn the headers to the underside and use the multi-plug that comes with it, saves lots of room, and the usb port is in the right place so no need to rotate the Naze:)

Hi Kev, i got it fixed:)
Its on my Nighthawk and man has it saved on weight compared to my original build. I have set it up on Luxfloat, no air mode yet, as i am reading a lot about ESC burnouts on bad landing/crashing with airmode (lets face it i do crash a lot). But it seems so much more responsive:) Roll/Pitch/Yaw Rates are 60/50/40.

I set mine up now to arm disarm on the switch, and don't have spin motors on arm either if not using airmode,

I use the same switch as throttle hold on heli so its instinctive and so much quicker than disarming with the stick,

its a slow disarm that causes problems with esc's and motors in a crash, advice off Banniuk at the drone show last year,

I just tried airmode on the weekend as well as leaving the motors spinning on arm.
Much better for doing flips and rolls.
And I have been able to do the upside down hang thing for the first time. :)

airmode keeps the pid loop running even at 0 throttle, so if you dont disarm quickly it allows the I gain to windup which then tries to hold angle and cant, and in turn it increases the correctional force and toasts the speedies in the process.
Before airmode i was playing with throttle curves to achieve the same result, because the throttle never zero's there is still I windup and the quad can hold angle with minimal thrust and doesn't drop and arm. This is what give the longer air time.
But you still have the same issue as airmode, when you crash there is I windup.
