Hi Clay. What version is on it just now ? Sometimes you can't jump several versions. You need to go from the stable version to the next one. eg.1 to 1.1 then 1.1 to 1.2 and so flashing several times. The boot pads can be used to reset the firmware especially if the fc is bricked. I would try flashing the nearest version to your own first then keep flashing.

What does bricked mean?

It means you can lock the software so the board does not function.

It means you can lock the software so the board does not function. The quad will still fly but you can't use cleanflight , so you short the two pads to allow you to re flash the firmware.

Cool.. is there a way to put my LEDs on a switch? Profile them to change with the switch?

Never looked at that? I programmed mine as normal on Cleanflight , not sure if you can do it by profile. You can change everything in each individual profile, so I would imagine that's where you would change the lights. So if you are happy with your profile then just duplicate it and only alter the light sequence?
