Sinister 770 Super Class Quad Flight Log

Right now, I have 10 videos from the other day. These videos show the progression of the quads behavior. They may be a bit boring because these videos show the tuning stages but hopefully we'll get into some flight video as we go. I thought it was important to share all the videos as I go.

I'll get some more videos posted tomorrow

Thanks Graham! Just the fact that I was able to take the 770 home in one piece was awesome, lol. I do have a few more videos that I'll be sharing soon and you can clearly see that the 770 is beginning to behave. It's far from perfect but it's on it's way.

Derek, a good way to get your settings right is to tether the nose and tail of the quad under tension between two solid objects off the ground so if it spins or flips you can adjust the settings:)
theres a video on YT i will try and get a link for you:)

well...in the video that you shared, the guy was changing "something" with that knob on his tx. Was that the PIDs, individually, that he was changing?

Here are the 7th and 8th hover attempts of the 770...slow signs of progression in Acro Mode....not so much in Angle Mode

9th hover attempt...I'm just gonna forget about Angle Mode for now and just focus on Acro Mode

Looking good Derek:) Not sure why acro is better than angle? Angle should be better. The way the whole craft is oscillating it is as if it is trying to level all motors but it is too slow to react.
Angle for me is my "failsafe" if i lose control i flick the switch into angle it self levels. In yours its as if the self level is constantly trying to alter due to the size. Its a bit like training gear on a helicopter. The helicopter gyro is always trying to compensate for the training gear.
I would go to the extreme end of settings if you have not tried that already, rather than small adjustments:)

Finally starting to look like it will fly Derek.
Sounds a bit intimidating though.

Acro will always be better than angle. It's just that most quads are close enough to get it to work.
Most tuning guides will tell you that there is no point trying to tune angle mode if the quad won't fly in acro.
