Yep! I have one of those propane heaters...I think they refer to them as "salamanders". It's about 10 years old but still works like new. Right now, the garage is probably 35 degrees. Fire up that heater and within 10 minutes, my single car garage is in the 70's. Awesome!!!

Hover craft may be an interesting alternative to the skidder I was contemplating this winter... Now, speed controller for the propulsion prop/fan... What controls the fan inflating the bag? How is it wired & programmed to the transmitter?

Seems to be a lot of variation in the builds of hovercrafts. Some have air ducting which only uses one motor for lift and thrust. I've noticed when they stop the bag deflates.. Some use the proportional channels for thrust variation via the ESC. With a separate fixed speed lift motor. Seems to be a fair amount of combinations.. Definitely a good project though

I have seen a 2 ESC setup. Someone, I think Lee; posted a video of a nice setup. He had the air cushion set on the throttle channel and the thrust on the elevator channel. You probably could mix those two channels if your radio is flexible enough. If you have a big enough ESC you popably could run one ESC and two motors.

Yeah I've seen one on web with separate ESC's for lift and thrust... Plenty of variations...

I was wondering if you could set it up on a helicopter setting.
Then you could have Throttle for thrust, and collective pitch would be lift all on one stick.
Then you could set the curves to give you the best thrust to lift ratio very accurately.

That sounds like it would work Lee.

A thought ive had is that if you have a tx with a assignable pot on it you could assign the lift to the pot and thrust to the throttle channel that way you lift is constant but adjustable and you throttle makes you go.

You know how some radios have the paddles on the side? Well there's your lift, and throttle on the collective with rudder.

I'm sure Paul has told you how to put vids on forum Kyle, you must have missed it..

You can either click on the "share" in YouTube then copy that with "ctrl and C" then paste it in your editor window with "ctrl and V" Or click on the address line at top when your on your vid in YT, then copy and paste that the same way..

Simplz...lol

When I was in France earlier this year I saw some guys playing around with a wind surfing board they made, it was about the size of a skateboard. And the sail was around 3 feet high, 2 wheels at the back, and one steerable wheel at the front. One guy had a dx8 which was controlling the front wheel... (What a waste eh)... Lol, it looked good fun... Wish I'd photographed it now... When he turned quickly it kept falling over, but fun to watch... The only propulsion was the wind..
