Heli Extravaganza at Triple Tree Aerodrome

Well, as much as I wanted to to to IRCHA this year.. I don't think it's gonna happen.. So the other 2 events are the Extravaganza & OHB... OHB is still iffy but I'm confirmed for the Heli Extravaganza at the end September.

This is held at Triple Tree.. Same venue as the Joe Nall event I went to earlier this year on Mothers Day weekend. The grounds are beautiful.. I look forward to this event... Anyone wanna go & meet up?

This is one of last years event don't with a quad.. While it doesn't showcase helis so much.. It does show the grounds and some high footage of the event. At around 4:40 in.. The bottom of the shot is the main flight line... The top of the shot doesn't even show the entrance to the property... It's that big! Fields & ponds the whole way! Some nice FPV of the creek run.. FPV course... Even some shots of RC trucks & boats... Man I can't wait!

Packed up & roll'n out this morning... 7 helis in my back seat.. Lol.. Was a little wet most of the day.. Spotty rain... We decided the nitros as they are typically covered in oil lessening the chance of rust... Had an awesome time fly'n with the synergy crew.. Sexton, Cherry, Robinson, Coleman, etc.. Even Maxwell & Stacy. Just sooo SICK! Then had dinner with the Synergy crew... Good times.. Hope the weather clears tomorrow.. Levar & I ended up grabing a room due to the saturated grounds & continual rain. Saw the new 766.. Pics do not do it justice.. Its an awesome machine.

So far so good... Little too wet to pitch the tent last night... Ended up at Quality Inn with some of the others who flew in instead of driving... Should be good enough tonight tho to get camp set up. U guys would dig the FPV course... It's right over top of the buggie course.. Quads vs buggies! Lol

We got to tour the Triple Tree hanger.. Very nice planes in housed in there!

Couple pics up.. The single engine on its belly... I'm told the owner had the rear 2 gears locked in the up position and had to land with only the front gear a couple days before the even... No one hurt.. Dude was lucky!
