Air Show is in town

My Dad came to my house to get some custom wires made up for his rc boat and he mentioned that he saw, on the news, that there was an air show in town over the next couple of days. Dad mentioned that he saw them talking about an F4U Corsair, with gull wings, and the last in existence B29 Superfortress FIFI. So, instead of going flying today (we'll do that tomorrow), Dad and I are gonna head out to the air show...cameras on hand.

I did some searching and I found the webpage that had the details and I thought I'd share that with you guys. Here's the page:

Unfortunately, we did not get to see the Steerman, like I wanted to. Bummer....but we did see the B29 Superfortress and the F4U Corsair. Very cool planes! I'm saving the slideshow right now. I'll get it posted to Youtube when it's done saving and then posted here.

ok, the previous video was just a slideshow from yesterday. I do have some video clips that show the planes a bit, including the arrival of the Corsair. I wish that I had seen it coming in, so I did miss the landing but I did get a bit of video of the Corsair taxi'ing to it's spot. Very very cool plane!!!

I'll post that video shortly.

Lol.. Me to, but I find it funny that as much as I love the old F4, when I hear corsair... I immediately think of the A-7 corsair II. When I was a kid my dad was Navy.. And had a story that he told us of an A-7 crashing on the deck of his carrier.. It sticks in my mind as if I were the one to witness it.. Funny to me.. Whatever.

Thanks guys! Yeah...that Corsair was awesome! I was really hoping to see the Steerman but it wasn't there when we were there.
