Sick as a dog

Post by Derek »

I don't know what happened. I got home from work, Thursday morning, and I felt fine. It was just another day. Then, about 10:30am on Thursday I found myself in the bathroom in a very bad way (I'll spare all the details, lol). I couldn't keep any fluids or food down....dizzy, achy, and headaches. I slept all day yesterday and 98% of today, lol.

Starting to feel better within the last hour. Hopefully it's all over.

Fresh ginger sliced into boiling water for about ten minutes and sweeten with honey. So far the best treatment for bad stomach stuff. It needs to be fresh ginger root not dryied or ground. This is not a cure, just a remidy to relieve the ailments for a few hours. I am not a doctor nor is this approved by the fda. I have done this for myself and it worked. I have also done this for all my kids just a few months ago and it worked for them. So results my very.

It could have been bad food. That's how food poisoning works. Hits hard for about 24 to 36 hours then almost lime magic you feel better. Glad its almost done.

Thanks guys! I appreciate that! I was in real bad shape on Thursday and half of Friday. Today is Saturday and I'm keeping foods and drinks down and I'm feeling much better. Now, I'm just sore and I have a slight head ache but the worst seems to be over.

Was it a winter time flu? Its possible. Was it bad food? That's quite possible too. I can't say, for sure which one I think was the problem. Thursday morning I got home from work, about 6:30am and I felt fine. It was just a normal morning. I went to bed about 8am and I felt fine. Woke up about 10:30am in real bad shape. It was absolutely painful....I've spared all the details, lol

But...like I said...I'm feeling better today. Just got out of the shower. Sitting down to have dinner with the wife and munchkin.

Thanks again guys!!!

Get your fluids up to suppress the head ach. Water and gator aid/power aid type drinks. With the fluid loss you had through the issues you may have dehydrated and a head ACH is a sign if that.

Yep...I've got 7 rather large bottles of Gatorade in the fridge and one here at my side. Thankfully, as of right now, the head ache is gone and I'm feeling quite well. Still not 100% but I'd say somewhere in the high 90's. Perhaps I might even go outside for a little bit tomorrow.
