I got accomplished today what I was hoping for. Peeing on myself. LOL. For real though I got the head speed up to 2180ish while at 0 pitch. I was shaking so terribly bad I couldn't keep my hands still. Amazingly the wobblin goblin no longer exists. We are still have a slightly high amount of wind that I am not willing to deal with right now. I still need to get broke in on this bird.

I had one issue today and I forgot to plug in the positive esc lead. Totally forgot about the spark arrestor. Needless to say I don think that works any more. Plus I don't think I am going to use it at this point. Mentally I am screwing with myself. I know how to fly, I know my left and right orientations fairly well. The size of this Goblin while at the sticks is terrifying for me. I have to get out and fly this thing every day to get used to. Its definitely not the X3. Now I need to get that bad boy in the air in hopes to use that as the nerve calmer.

SO the Saga continues. So I did fly Saturday but no video. I was trying to get those first couple flights in to shake the nerves off and it started raining. So I packed up and left.

Now for the most interesting part, the Garbon is broke. No I did not crash but I did how ever forget to remove the blade holder before plugging in the RX pack. I leaned a couple things on Saturday, One) Blade holders are over rated, Two: BK Servos are strong enough to brake the horns and Three: the horns are weak enough to break before the servo does.

With the advent of this new test on the Garbon, I know have not only new SAB horns due in I also have the motor and esc for the X3 packed with it. What does this mean; someone should be flying this weekend.

Yes learned a lot from that one.

I have the rebuild almost done. I have had to order a main shaft another set of blade grip bearings along with the secondary shaft bearings. That stuff should be here on friday.

I did the same thing with the Goblin 700 KSE I won, that came with the vbar neo and vcontrol. I'm so used to the way I have my spektrum and ikon stuff setup for auto-rotation bailout and resetting on the ground, that I damn near wrecked the thing trying to take off. I spun it up to take off, and decided to check a setting, so I moved the switch down a click to spin it down. I didn't realize at the time that it was an "idle" position vs a "reset" position. I finished checking and flipped it back up to spin it up again. ZZZZZZZOOOM! That thing spun up from a dead stop in 2 seconds flat. Tail kicked around. Luckily it didn't dig into the ground or have loose blades so it didn't end up eating itself.

Yeah there was a combination of things that went wrong for me. First off the heli landed in a rut, thats why it went in the direction it did. Second the soft start had not kicked in yet which caused the tail whip and finally I had a brain fart on the throttle hold switch. Yeah, I for got how to get into throttle hold even though I was just using the switch, go figure or just my luck.

Friday is the delivery date of the rest of the parts for the Gobby. I had to order a set of bearings for the secondary shaft, bearings for the other blade grip and a main shaft. I didn't notice the wobble on initial inspection and during the rebuild I found it. I finally got all my stuff in and almost done rebuilding. The tail is done except the push rod, thats next. Main blocks are almost done cant finish till the bearings come in. motor needs some real minor work, the motor shaft is a tad to long. Thats it so far.

Should have that Goblin 570 back together by now. And he's back home from his training in PA.

I have been a slump lately. The ex wife is almost gone and when I came back from PA I had no job. I started working for a friend of mine and he has been keeping me busy. By the time I get home I am beat. So in short I am starting to come back to my normal self.
