I can't remember how many time I crashed my 450. Just when I thought I was making progress, gravity would teach me another cruel lesson.
keep at it mate.

Very true Dan, gravity is a buga at times...lol. I've ordered new parts for it. Had to order 3 different feathering shafts from align-trex as they don't put sizes on them.... That's my main worry because this tarot head came from china... Ordered shafts from there too but not due till end of December... Now that's just no good...lol

Ouch!
Always seems to be the case.
You start to feel you are making progress and get a little overconfident.
Something goes not quite right and you don't react quick enough to stop it from becoming a drill. :)

That's exactly right Stambo, that was my last of 5 packs, feeling very confident to a point of being cocky... I was bringing it back in, nose in but it was just too far away to see it properly... Thumbs made the wrong decision...lol. I'll be back though very soon, lesson learnt

It does not look that bad Tony. The beast will fly again. Just keep it a little closer and you will be fine. You are
coming on in leaps so keep at it mate. Time now for the sim. Cheers

Oh yes Treff, she will be back, but as a 450, not a mixture of 450 - 600 size... Lol

Should have the parts tomorrow, I'm hoping one of the 3 feathering shafts will fit...

Thanks mate, and yes next time no nose in that far away...lol

You have a good argument there Jesse, if none of these shafts I've bought from align fit, then that's what I'm going to have to do. I thought they would have been delivered today, but Sod's law, they haven't...

Thanks bud

thats one of the problems with ordering none align stuff, parts can be a PITA to get hold of. One of the align feathering shafts should fit though mate, just make sure you make note of the part number once you have the correct size installed,

Good luck with the rebuild you will be back in the air soon enough.

Well I've ordered new spindles from china, but decided to take the plunge and get the align 450 dfc head, so that will be here tomorrow. I'll be back in the air at the weekend..

Regarding the feathering shafts. Give me the measurement and I will have a look in the spares box. I too brought the wrong ones by
the boat load and I think they were tarot but not sure. Send me the numbers on e-mail and I will have a look I have literally dozens
of the bloody things.
