finally got the car for the day

Post by murankar »

I finally got the car. Thank god for Dr. Appointments. Got lots of stuff to get caught up on.

When you have only one car and the wife wants monopolize it, life gets crazy. Here's the crazy part she freaking can't stand that vehicle, she dispises it and she wishes it would die. Yes she hates it that much but yet she always wants to be in it.

Enough of the rant. Today is catch up day. Maybe I can get some stuff for the charging case, things like connectors and plugs. The cheap stuff. Oh a and a run to the PO which is top on the list.

Dodge Grand Caravan. The only reason she hates it is because the fuel pump has a leak and smells like fuel, the starter is starting to go and the windshield is cracked. Plus she needs to clean her mess out. Its all minor stuff but fixable.

Got to the PO to mail a package and got some quick connects and a switch. The plan is to figure out how to wire an illuminated switch for the PSUs. Really the only thing that needs a switch is the output side. The input side can be switched but why when all I need to do is unokug the main. I will update the case build with what I have been working on.

Wouldn't consider the fuel pump leaking a minor thing. The rest for sure.

+1 Ken, get that pump sorted bro... Sounds like your allowing your wife to drive quite a dangerous car there, even the windscreen could get a lot worse should you hit a deep pot hole or something... Sort the car mate before the hobby, I know you have a beauty of a son, and a wife. Make it safe For them URI.

Sorry I'm a nag but I've got kids and family too, lots, but they wouldn't get in my car if it was like that. No way..

Yes its fuel and yes its leaking I get that but for as bad as the leak is its not a whole lot. I know there is inherent dangers and ass soon as I get the $200+ for the pump I will get it fixed. The started could very well be fixed at the same time. The windshield, I am not sure when that's going to get fixed.

$200 is a lot of cash for a pump mate, but nothing when you think of the consequences if something bad happened.. Personally, I'd put the hobby on hold and start saving ASAP.. But that's me nagging again, I do worry about things like this...

trust me the hobby is on hold. In the last 7 months I have not spent any non paypal money on the hobby. My paypal account is not linked to my banck account so I cant transfer in or out. If I can get it to last till mid February things will be fixed. Even if the car was fixed I still wouldn't be spending any money on the hobby. Oh did buy $3 worth of crimp connectors but tha'ts it.

It sucks but that's why the X3 has been grounded for so long. The only I can afford is Sim time.
