Damn, I guess your going back to the basics. Oh and you are only allowed in the living room with that. No openly available water around. Lol. Have fun with that.

Nooooo, it won't even charge the battery.... Just a joke this thing.. Haha, another ornament for the garage...

When I get home I'm going to get a cheap plane to practice with, then get something a bit better when I can handle the cheapo... I'll have my quad soon enough when Lee sorts it out man... Then some fpv flying into trees etc... Haha

Um, is that intentionally stated FPV flying into trees?
I prefer to fly around them wherever possible. :)

You do realise FPV is supposed to be a non contact sport. :P

HA HA HA! That's funny!

I made the suggestion to Tony to get a plane that has the AS3X and SAFE modes. The "Hobbyzone Delta Ray" is a plane that I can speak from experience is an awesome trainer. The BNF version is only $149US. There is also a 48" wingspan Sport Cub with AS3X and SAFE for $169US. Both have the 3 flight modes, for beginner, intermediate, and advanced as well as the SAFE feature. The SAFE feature would allow the pilot, when disoriented, to press the Trainer button (on the DX8) or flip the Trainer switch (on Tony's DX6i) and the plane will self-right and point the nose up slightly for a good and safe recovery. The recovery is actually quite quick. I'm going to buy a Delta Ray for my Dad. He wants me to teach him to fly.

Anyway....Tony...lets try to veer away from the water and the trees with the FPV quad, lol.

Back home now, arrived at 04:00am this morning and went straight to bed... We've done 3,661 miles altogether. The camper never had a single problem with it...

Very cool, Tony! Glad to hear you made it back safely and, despite the heli damage, it sounds like you had a great time.

Get some rest!!!
