That is pretty cool. Reel of carbon filament has to be a ton of cash, though. :)

You could seriously 3D print main rotor blades with this thing. kevlar or CF reinforced nylon probably would work great for up through 450 size helis.

3D print props! Could do a whole set for an octo in one session. Custom battery trays. Frames. Skids. Blade holders.

This is frikin cool. For the cost of a quality 550+ size heli today, we'll seriously be 3D printing entire helis within 5 years, minus bearings and electronics, etc.

10 years, these things could be as ubiquitous as microwave ovens.

I'd make a mini quad frame in a heart beat. Spare arms, all sorts.
Lets all chip in and get one. :)

I would love a 3d printer like that, been a few years since I done CAD but could get back into it quickly I recon,
